Since opening in 2020 Jack and Ronnie’s neighbourhood bistro & bar in Nether Edge, Bench, has received national acclaim; including ‘Best Local Restaurant 2025’ at the Good Food Guide and a spot of the UK Top 50 Cocktail Bars list, the only restaurant to do so.

The Pearl at Park Hill, which opened in September 2023, is their second venue and their interpretation of what a ‘local’ in the 21st century should and can be. Serving up a seasonal, ever-changing cocktail menu, craft beer and natural wine alongside bar food. Featured at No.40 in the UK Top 50 Cocktail Bars list and the Good Food Guide 2026.

Adaptive re-use

We feel honoured to be taking on a site with such cultural history in the city. Being the largest listed building in Europe, Park Hill, an institution and an indelible part of Sheffield’s skyline was home to four pubs when it was built to provide modern housing for the workforce of the city's steelworks. With over 2000 people now living at Park Hill, we feel a responsibility to offer something for the community, the city, and beyond. Occupying part of this building forms part of a wider project in conjunction with Urban Splash & Places for People. Our interior design is about reusing the existing brutalist structure as the framework to sit alongside our pearlescent identity.
